The recent Diablo 4 Campfire Chat livestream showed off a number of upcoming changes set to make their way to the game in the upcoming 1.1.1 patch notes. However, while there’s certainly a lot the developers noted during the one-hour live stream, fans are ecstatic about the buffs coming to the game’s Sorcerer and Barabrian classes.
In the game’s previous update, Diablo 4 players had been even more frustrated that the Sorcerer class appeared “even more unplayable.” However, the latest Campfire Chat live stream with the Diablo 4 development team has shown off some impressive buffs set to make their way to Sorcerer players.
While across the board all Sorcerer players will be getting a huge buff to their stats, the upcoming proposed changes from Blizzard will really benefit lightning-focused Sorcerer mains. Chain lightning appears to be receiving a nice little buff with the feature, Crackling Energy, seeing an increase from 25% to 30%. Notably, Chain Lightning will see another boost in damage as “each time Chain Lightning bounces, its next hit deals 5% increased damage.”
However, it should be worth noting that Blizzard has stated that these buffs aren’t final yet so they could change slightly. However, given the positive reception from a lot of fans regarding these changes the Sorcerer is unlikely to be touched in any way.
The Barbarian class is also set to receive a few buffs following the presentation such as more Fury to spend on other skills in combat. This will allow early-game players to deal more damage overall. Alongside this, the Violent Upheaval upgrade will now trigger Berserking, which will allow a short damage buff to Barbarian players.
These aren’t the only changes with patch 1.1.1 as Diablo 4 patch 1.1.1 will remove Resource Burn affix and increase monster density. If you’re looking at diving into Diablo 4 when the new patch drops be sure to check out our Diablo 4 Sorcerer build and our Diablo 4 Barbarian build.
