Diablo 4 players have been engrossed in the latest entry in the series since its release, whether for good or bad reasons. While players have been quick to note any issues with the game online in the past, players are now focusing on the CC (Crowd Control) aspect of the game.

Taking to the Diablo Reddit, one player noted Blizzard needs to nerf CC as it’s currently “absurd.” Speaking in further detail, user YoshTheFluffer said, “I feel like half of mobs have an attack that take away control from the player, either putting you down, freeze, stun, fear, unable to attack.” They focused particularly on an eye attack that players will have likely run into when battling the “snake priest.” They noted that the attack has a very short windup and instantly stuns the player, and due to the lack of any ability to cancel attacks it’s almost impossible to avoid.

They continued by saying that they didn’t want Blizzard to remove CC from the game entirely. Instead, they, “want want the game to give more options/balance.” Other players seemed to share this sentiment with another player noting, “The cold CC lasts too long, and it feels like there’s WAY too much CC that blinds you.”

Other players pointed out their frustration with the CC mechanics linked to spiders in Diablo 4 with user Ultimesk saying, “I swear if I see another spider I’m going mad. Their attacks root you, web on the ground root you, again and again. Even if you go full topaz to not instantly die at higher tiers, it’s just infuriating in the long run.” Another player also noted that they’ve, “died several times in HC to the damn spiders with their rooting and web mechanics. Completely frustrating that I can’t get away fast enough once I start getting hit with webbing.”

The entire thread is full of complaints about the mechanic and while it’s possible Blizzard will address these issues in a future patch, for the time being, players will just have to persevere. In more positive Diablo 4 news, Diablo 4 players think Necro’s world drops are better looking than paid cosmetics and Diablo 4 players have uncovered some post-credit scenes.
