Nintendo has announced that development of DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2 on 3DS won’t begin until work on the main game has been completed.

The new premium DLC levels will be for the Coin Rush game mode, but since development hasn’t begun exact pricing and release info hasn’t been revealed.

Other 3DS games to offer DLC include Square Enix’s Final Fantasy: Theatrhythm and Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Does Nintendo’s decision to develop DLC after the main game is complete make you feel better about having to pay for the content? Is it any different to a dev team dedicating extra resources to DLC development during the main dev window?
