THQ Nordic has dropped a new trailer for upcoming remaster Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed.

The footage focuses on the sequel’s co-op mode, introduced for the first time in the series in the original release. Of course it returns here for this remake, with all the couch-based split screen mayhem you might remember from the first time around. The second player gets to inhabit the alien body of one of anti-hero Crypto’s clones, throughout the entirety of the game’s campaign from start to finish if they choose.

THQ Nordic’s also reminded people of the game’s collector’s edition. The Second Coming Edition may be pricey with an RRP of £349.99 but 3700 fans with deep pockets get a fair amount of bang for their buck. First off is a “preposterously large” 27.6-inch high statue of hero Crypto. There’s also a vintage embossed metal plate of his visage, a hardcover artbook, and a wobble statue of an Arkvoodle. The package is completed with the game’s orchestral score on CD.

The Destroy All Humans! 2 remaster was perhaps inevitable after the success of Black Forest’s first one back in 2020. Josh reviewed that one for us here, saying “I would recommend the remake to anyone with a nostalgic thirst for the original, but so, too, to those that like their laughs with a dark bite.”

If you’re up for more, Destroy All Humans! 2 – Reprobed arrives on August 30, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Check out the game’s new trailer below.
