Destiny’s third expansion pack will be called The Taken King and release on September 15, according to leaked marketing material obtained by Kotaku.

According to the site’s report, The Taken King will finally give Guardians a third subclass, granting Warlocks an arc subclass featuring an electrical storm super, Titans a solar flaming hammer and Hunters a snazzy void gravity bow.

The expansion is expected to cost $40, double the price of previous expansion packs The Dark Below and House of Wolves. UK pricing has yet to be confirmed.

Following earlier leaks suggesting that the pack will focus on the Hive, the latest info spill suggests that there will be a new raid centred on Oryx. Oryx is the father of Crota, hence the name of the expansion. There will also be new strikes and PvP maps, though exactly how many of each was not detailed.

Given the timing of the leak, players will likely get to see much more on the expansion at next week’s E3.
