Bungie has revealed a new trailer for Destiny 2's Solstice of Heroes event, which offers Guardians a chance to sink their teeth into a fresh batch of challenges ahead of the launch of Forsaken in September.

One of the biggest attractions of Solstice of Heroes is the chance to get your hands on some new 400-power armour, with the event taking place from July 31 – August 28.

You'll also be taking part in a bunch of new challenges, including revamped story missions to mark the fall of the City to the Red Legion at the beginning of Destiny 2's campaign. It's not all doom and gloom though; as Ikora notes in the trailer, 'enjoy yourself — it's a celebration, after all.'

There's also a bunch of Guardians doing a funky-looking dance, so I'm automatically sold.

The main event is obviously Forsaken, which launches on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on September 4. The expansion is packed to the rafters with new content, including fresh armour and weapons, the new Gambit and Breakthrough modes, plus an extra campaign that has you hunting down Cayde-6's killers (RIP, mate).

Destiny 2 hasn't had an easy ride with fans since launch, although at this point I'm hard pressed to find something to have a good moan about; Bungie's doing a bang-up job at pumping out fresh content and listening to the community, so fair play to them.

Here's to Destiny 3, eh?
