Bungie has announced via its weekly blog that Destiny 2’s Faction Rallies are set to come back following the weekly reset on November 7, once again allowing Guardians to pledge their support to one of three teams.

Just like last time Guardians will pledge allegiance to one of three teams – Dead Orbit, the New Monarchy and Future War Cult – and collect tokens over the course of the week by completing in-game activities that can be exchanged for faction-specific weapons of which Bungie has added a bunch more for the second run.

A few tweaks have also been made since the previous event, for example the number of tokens granted for completing Strikes is up from 3-7 to 5-9 and ten to 18 faction tokens upon first completion of a Nightfall per character.

The faction that collects the most tokens at the end of the week will unlock a unique weapon for purchase from vendors the following week; a sword for New Monarchy, a fusion rifle for Future War Cult and a grenade launcher for Dead Orbit. The winning faction will be able to buy their weapon for 1,000 Glimmer while everyone else will have to pay 50,000 for the privilege.

Also in today’s blog Bungie mention that the Trials of the Nine timed event for the Crucible will finally return today, two weeks after taking it down to fix a map-clipping exploit caused by a Monty Python emote. It’ll also be the first time both events have run since the game’s PC launch last week.

Full details are available on Bungie’s blog.
