Bungie has confirmed details on Black Armoury, the first of a series of mini-expansions for Destiny 2: Forsaken.

As is customary with new Destiny 2 content, Black Armoury will allow you to bump up your Power level, as well as hoover up a bunch of new Exotic weapons. Story-wise, you'll be doing the bidding of a vendor named Ada-1, who sends you off on a quest to reignited the Forges lost during the Golden Age.

One of the new activities introduced in Black Armoury is the Lost Forges, which sees a team of up to three Guardians defending Forges from waves of enemies. You can also cobble together powerful new weapons by collecting materials out in the world, before placing them in the forge and fending off incoming foes.

Speaking of weapons, Heavy Machineguns are making a comeback with Black Armoury, following on the heels of Thunderlord.

Finally, Bungie confirmed that Black Armoury will add a new Raid called Scourge of the Past, which takes place across abandoned areas of the Last City. It'll be shorter than Last Wish, although that's about all we know so far.

Destiny 2: Forsaken's post-launch slate will keep Guardians busy until next summer, after which it is believed another major expansion will drop.
