Destiny 2 leaks show new pre-order bonus perk and weapon with “80% damage buff”

Right now Destiny 2 fans are enjoying Episode Heresy Act 1, and Bungie has just recently released update 8.2.0.1 to deliver some fixes as well as nerfs for the RDM. Once Heresy Act 3 ends, D2 will move onto the summer 2025 expansion currently codenamed Apollo, as per the 2025 roadmap. While we still have a while to wait for Apollo to arrive, leaks have possibly showed a new Destiny 2 pre-order bonus perk and weapon with “80% damage buff”.

Destiny 2 New Land Beyond pre-order bonus leak

We previously reported about a gameplay leak that showed the return of the No Land Beyond Exotic from D1, only this time in Destiny 2 the sniper rifle is called New Land Beyond. Unfortunately, gameplay videos of the leak have been removed, but BungieLeaks has provided more details.

Per BungieLeaks, New Land Beyond is a pre-order bonus. While some assumed it might be for Marathon, BungieLeaks stated it’s “presumably for Codename: Apollo”.

Below are the leaked New Land Beyond perk details:

• Intrinsic Trait: The Master – Scoring precision hits increases this weapon’s damage until the wielder’s defeat. (~80% damage buff at x24 stacks, also changes the buff name to “Grandmaster x20”)
• Secondary Trait: Bullseye Bolster – Landing a precision hit substantially increases this weapon’s target acquisition, handling, reload speed, and stability for a short duration of time

In their original post, BungieLeaks stated it is a “80% damage buff at x20 stacks,” but they quickly corrected it to “80% buff at x24 stacks”.

Remember that this is a leak rather than anything official. We still don’t know when players will be able to pre-order Apollo, but this could be the only way to secure the New Land Beyond.
