Destiny 2 fans have a new update coming out on February 13th. Recently, for this update, Bungie announced an immediate nerf to an OP exotic plus “excluded” weapon bonuses and more. Now the D2 developer has revealed more fixes that will be part of patch 8.2.0.1. Not only that, but Bungie has confirmed massive Destiny 2 buffs that were “missing from the Heresy patch notes”.

Bungie confirms buffs missing from Destiny 2 Heresy patch notes

Following the release of the update 8.2.0 patch notes, Destiny 2 fans noticed huge changes to the Redirection perk. Seeing as these changes were not mentioned in the patch notes, fans were unsure if they were fully intended as they were a stealth buff as opposed to sneaky nerfs.

Fortunately, Bungie has now confirmed the buffs on the official Destiny2Team X account. Bungie has now updated the Episode Heresy patch notes, and below are the “missing details” regarding the Redirection perk:

  • Reworked perk to improve QoL and be more generous
    • Increased stacks from x20 to x30.
    • Increased stacks built per hit on minor combatants from x1 to x2.
    • Reduced stacks consumed per hit on stronger combatants from x5 to x3 (x2 if enhanced).
      • Note: Damage bonus remains the same.

The above changes are what fans discovered before confirmation from Bungie, and they remain a massive buff. Since these changes have been implemented, fans have revered the Redirection perk as “insane”.

More D2 fixes on the way

Following yesterday’s announcement of fixes for patch 8.2.0.1, Bungie has now added the following scheduled improvements via BungieHelp on X:

  • Revenant Major Fieldworks
  • Revenant Onslaught: Salvation playlists
  • Microcosm
  • Lunar New Year items in Collections

Unfortunately, there’s no elaboration on how the above fixes will be implemented. Update 8.2.0.1 is currently scheduled for February 13th, and we will make sure to share the full patch notes when they are out.

For more Episode Heresy, leaks have uncovered new cutscenes and “seemingly a boss rush mode” for Act 2, and gameplay leaks have uncovered additional new weapons set to arrive, including the return of a fan-favorite Exotic from D1.
