Behaviour Interactive recently held its Dead By Daylight Year 8 Anniversary event, which saw the announcement of a new rogue-like game called What The Fog, Dungeons & Dragons DLC, and the full Year 9 roadmap to give players plenty to look forward to over the coming months.

Although the Dead By Daylight Year 8 Anniversary Livestream was focused on the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons chapter, a teaser towards the end of the presentation got me more excited to jump into the game and it features a collaboration with a franchise that is beloved by many 90s gamers, Castlevania.

In a short teaser trailer, we see Dracula walking in front of his castle before turning into a colony of bats and flying away. The iconic vampire has had many classic looks over the years, both in and outside of Castlevania, but it looks like this collaboration will feature his appearance in Symphony of the Night. If it is the Symphony of the Night version that will be featured, the obvious question is, will we see Alucard or Richter Belmont come to Dead By Daylight too? How about an appearance by Maria? I really hope so.

Also in the presentation, it was revealed that a new 2V8 game mode will be coming in the Summer, which has been highly requested by the Dead By Daylight community for many years, with fan-made mods even being made to allow players to hunt down more survivors. This new mode will replace the Scorching BBQ event which was first seen in 2018 before making a return last year. More information will be given on the new mode during the next livestream in July.

But, going back to the Dead By Daylight X Castlevania collaboration, players will have to wait until August 6th to find out more information.
