Dead By Daylight Orela Rose release time countdown and perks for DBD Chapter 35.5 update

The May 2025 roadmap for Dead By Daylight is stacked. Not only do we have the anniversary livestream right around the corner, but the FNAF PTB will be playable later this month, although no date has been announced yet. However, before both the anniversary livestream and PTB arrive, DBD fans will be treated to a new survivor. Here is the release date and time countdown for when Orela Rose will come out in Dead By Daylight, along with their perks for the Chapter 35.5 update.

Dead By Daylight new survivor Orela Rose release date

The release date for new survivor Orela Rose in Dead By Daylight is May 6th. This has been confirmed by BeHaviour Interactive.

Per official lore for the character, Orela Rose is a horror enthusiast who became an EMT. The character is actually voiced by Angelica Ross, who players may recognise from the ninth season of American Horror Story as Donna Chambers/Nurse Rita.

This is a paragraph, so the new survivor is not accompanied by a new killer or map. They are also the last survivor of DBD Year 9 as we move onto Year 10. The roadmap for Year 10 hasn’t been revealed, but it should be shared at BeHaviour’s upcoming anniversary livestream.

When does Orela Rose come out in Dead By Daylight?

The release time for when Orela Rose and Chapter 35.5 will come out in Dead By Daylight is 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST on May 6th.

This is the typical launch hour for new chapters and updates, unless a livestream is happening on the same day in which case the release usually gets pushed back an hour. However, no livestream is happening, so normal services should resume.

While there is no livestream on May 6th, there will be the big anniversary livestream on May 9th at the same hours listed above. This is when we will finally learn more details about the FNAF Chapter, presumably including the killer and survivor.

DBD Orela Rose perks

Below are the perks for Orela Rose as per the update 8.7.0 PTB patch notes:

• Do no Harm:
  • When you heal another Survivor, for each hook state they have, heal 30/40/50% faster and gain +3/3/3% progress for succeeding great skill checks.
• Duty of Care:
  • When you take a protection hit while healthy, all other Survivors within 16/16/16 meters gain 25/25/25% Haste for 4/5/6 seconds.
• Rapid Response:
  • When you do a Fast Locker Exit, you suffer from the Exhausted status effect for 30/30/30 seconds.
  • When you gain Exhausted, you see the Killer’s aura for 1/1.5/2 seconds.
  • Exhausted prevents one from using perks that cause Exhausted.
