Dead By Daylight has a lot of great original killers and survivors, but it’s the collaborations fans look forward to the most for both chapters and skins. There are some great cosmetics officially on the way, but a leak claims DBD is set to get “popular manga/anime” horror skins soon. This hasn’t been confirmed, but fans are hoping for the collaboration to be with Junji Ito.
As mentioned, there are a lot of great cosmetics planned for this month, and you can find the schedule in the August 2024 roadmap. Some of the upcoming skins include noir outfits and a Legendary Rain outfit to celebrate the release of Alien Romulus. In addition, the release date for the Dead By Daylight CastleVania PTB is imminent, and BeHaviour has shared the 8.2.0 PTB patch notes revealing buffs for killers and perks.
All of the cosmetics coming out this month look fantastic from underwater mythos to the celebration of black-and-white noir to the crossover with Alien Romulus. While these upcoming cosmetics are all official, a leak claims we are set to get some manga/anime skins sometime this year.
Dead By Daylight leak claims “popular manga/anime” skins are coming soon
During the Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode preview livestream, BeHaviour Interactive revealed the following upcoming skins:
- Horrors from the Deep Collection – August 6th
- Skins for The Dredge and The Blight
- Noir Collection – August 13th
- Skins for Jane, Jonah, Haddie
- Alien Romulus Collection – August 16th
- New Legendary Rain outfit for Ellen Rip
However, before this livestream commenced, DBD leaker, RuthlessLeaks, posted on Twitter, “Within the next couple of months there will be a cosmetic collaboration with a very popular manga/anime which may be revealed in tomorrow’s stream”.
It wasn’t revealed in the 2v8 mode stream, so this isn’t official as of writing. There’s also no shared release date for the skins, but “the next couple of months” could possibly refer to September or October. RuthlessLeaks is considered a reliable leaker for DBD mobile, but they claim this upcoming crossover is for the core experience on consoles and PC.
Replying to whether they can share any hints, all RuthlessLeaks added is that “The anime is horror related”. It’s not really a massive hint considering nearly everything in Dead By Daylight is related to horror, but it does possibly narrow down the anime/manga possibilities.
Reacting to the leak on Reddit, many of the replies are “praying for Junji Ito”. This is a popular Japanese manga artist famous for incredibly gruesome and scary works such as Uzamaki/Spiral.
While Junji Ito is the most popular want from fans, there are other guesses including Death Note and Hellsing. Many fans in the replies are also hoping Beserk.
Of course, none of this is official as of writing as it is merely a leak. Hopefully it does come to fruition as there have been some incredible anime/manga skins in the past with Attack On Titan.
