Dead by Daylight survivor mains everywhere are rejoicing as Behaviour Interactive has now disabled The Knight’s infamous killer perk, Nowhere to Hide. This decision comes after players discovered that when the perk is paired with The Onryō, more popularly known as the infinitely creepy Sadako, she would become permanently de-manifested, making it impossible for even the most eagle-eyed Survivor to spot her throughout the map.

Though the developers had already removed The Knight from the rotation in a recent update, this development still comes as a surprise to most since the medieval killer’s perks had seemingly been bug-free. Luckily, players who use either Hex: Face the Darkness or Hubris in their builds shouldn’t have any issues accessing both of The Knight’s remaining abilities.

Unfortunately, since the removal of Nowhere to Hide coincides with the holiday season, Behaviour Interactive has stated that it won’t be returning until the next update, which is likely to arrive in the new year. Though the developers have yet to confirm when it will be reintroduced, we expect both the disabled perk and killer to arrive in the same patch, barring any unforeseen setbacks.

Community reaction towards the latest victim of Behaviour Interactive’s kill switch has predictably been positive since most players had been dreading Sadako’s reign of terror in matches. Alas, killer mains who consistently make use of Nowhere to Hide will now have to revamp their builds, though it should be an easy endeavor, considering The Onryō arguably remains one of the best killers in the game.

For those worried about future kill switch updates, Behaviour Interactive has yet to announce any more removals. However, we will continue to provide more details as soon as they’ve officially been confirmed, so stay tuned.
