Canadian developer Behaviour Interactive has announced a dating sim is coming based on its multiplayer horror hit Dead by Daylight.
The reveal came as part of the studio’s celebration of the sixth anniversary of the original game. Hooked on You will see players attempting to romance four of the game’s Killer characters; The Trapper, The Huntress, The Wraith and The Spirit. You’ll have to choose the right words to woo them in this visual novel, made in collaboration with Psyop. They’re the team behind the infamous I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator from 2019.
We’re promised multiple endings and a mystery to unravel at the same time too. You could end up romantically involved, just friends – or perhaps even their next victim. Hooked on You will launch on PC via Steam this summer, but it wasn’t the only announcement during the event.
Back in the realm of regular Dead by Daylight, the game’s next chapter was also detailed. Entitled Roots of Dread, it’ll introduce a brand new killer. The Dredge is a formless mass of twisted limbs you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley. Which is all the more unfortunate that its power lets it teleport between Lockers, catching unaware Survivors trying to hide. The new chapter will also bring along a new Survivor known as Haddie Kaur, and encounter a new map called the Garden of Joy.
Finally, Behaviour also announced it’ll be doing another crossover with Resident Evil called Project W. A trailer for the new chapter is promised with more details later today and follows a similar crossover event last year.
