Dead By Daylight fans have an exciting May 2025 ahead of them. The release time for new survivor Orela Rose is nearly over, and the anniversary livestream is imminent. This livestream will finally provide details about the upcoming DBD FNAF Chapter. While there will be the release of a public-test build later this month, some Dead By Daylight fans might get to play the FNAF Chapter early before the PTB releases.

This year’s Dead By Daylight anniversary livestream is happening at PAX EAST. The livestream will take place on May 9th at 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM BST, and it will provide details about the FNAF Chapter, as well as a lot more including the year 10 roadmap.

In addition to the livestream, people who attend PAX EAST in person will be able to visit a DBD booth. This will allow fans in attendance to “Stop by to meet the team, play the game, buy some merch, along with some other surprises”.

On X, Dveet has speculated this could possibly mean the FNAF Chapter will be playable at PAX EAST for those who visit the booth. It’s stressed that this is “solely speculation,” so this is by no means official.

Prior to dveet’s post, prominent DBD YouTuber, The King, posted an April Fool’s video joking that the Five Nights At Freddy’s Chapter was cancelled. Upon moving past the joke portion of the video, The King talked about DBD’s official upcoming appearance at PAX EAST.

The King said, “I believe you’ll actually be able to play this [FNAF] Chapter while there. So, the anniversary stream will happen in PAX, in person, and if you’re there, you’ll be able to play the chapter”.

This isn’t official confirmation from BeHaviour Interactive so we still don’t know if the FNAF Chapter will actually be playable at PAX EAST, but The King is an often-reliable source, so it seems there’s a good chance people at PAX EAST will be able to play DBD x Five Nights At Freddy’s early.

As for everyone not attending PAX EAST, the PTB is officially set to come out in May, but it will not drop on the same day as the anniversary livestream. No date for the PTB has been announced as of writing, but the current speculation is May 27th.
