Daniel Criag, who’s signed a $60 million deal to play James Bond in at least three further movies, has revealed he’s a bit of a gamer, at least when his girlfriend isn’t looking.

I have to pick my time well. If my girlfriend sees the box then it’s all over. If I get some free time, when she goes away for the weekend, I’ll go and play some games, said Craig.

‘Halo’ is good because it’s shooting aliens,” he added, but admits he’s not overly keen on GTA. “Those ultra-violent ones I can play for half-an-hour and then I feel dirty. ‘Vice City’, for example – I think, ‘Oh yes, all right, I’ve stolen 18 cars. I’ve had enough now.’

Despite his enjoyment of video games, Craig wasn’t jumping at the chance to star in one.

When I started signing contracts for Bond I said, ‘I’m not doing the computer game’ and they said, ‘Tough, you are’,” said Craig. “I said to the people making the Bond game, ‘You’ve got to make this good because there is so much rubbish out there.’

Activision, which holds the James Bond license until 2014, is currently working on a new Bond video game, although it’s keeping the project very secretive. It’s not yet know if the game is based on next-year’s new Bond movie.
