CD Projekt Red has released the long-awaited next-gen patch for RPG Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

The announcement came at the end of an hour long presentation this afternoon. In it, the development team detailed a huge 1.5 update for all formats released at the same time. There’s absolutely loads to get through in our humble news post, so we’ll cover the top level stuff, but there’s a full list of changes on the game’s official website.

Next-gen exclusives include both Performance & Ray Tracing modes for the newest consoles, alongside things like improved HDR. There’s also support for 3D audio and the adaptive triggers on the DualSense on PlayStation 5. You’ll also get certain audio through the controller’s speaker.

The update also includes some new free DLC for all platforms including apartments, new weapons and new appearance options. On top of this, the main game has had a whole bucket load of new changes. These include fixes to things like combat AI, crowd improvements, and even an overhaul to the drive model. Cars now have a new Burn Out mode letting you perform drifts, burnouts and more in the game’s vehicles.

Perks have also had a major redesign, and you’ll find they’ve all been reset once you login after the patch. Thankfully, you just have to head to the perks screen, where you’ll be able to reassign them for free. Some perks have even been removed and replaced, so choose carefully.

As we said, there’s a bunch more changes in the patch notes. CD Projekt Red has also launched a new free demo for the game on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Check out Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen gameplay and a trailer for the update, which is out now, below.
