The Creative Assembly, best known for its Total War franchise, is hiring for its in-development Aliens game, suggesting the project will be appearing on current and next-gen systems, reports Gamerzines.

The job ad is for a Multiplayer/Gameplay Programmer and states the successful applicant will be working “on a AAA multi-platform title on current and future generation consoles set in the Alien universe”.

Little is known about the new Aliens game, but it appears it will traverse two console generations.

Earlier this year SEGA couldn’t keep its excitement about the game to itself.

“What I can say, from what I’ve heard there’s a lot of excitement about it. It’s rare that we get people buzzing around the watercooler as much about a game, but it’s awesome, apparently,” explained a SEGA rep.
