PlayStation’s newest exclusive Concord is already being killed less than two weeks after launch. With PlayStation ready to pull the plug on September 6th, players are committing mass digital suicide in a bit to earn the game’s platinum trophy.

Concord players commit suicide

With just three days until shutdown, Concord PS5 players are rushing to get the game’s trophies before they become unobtainable. With the rarest trophy requiring players to hit level 100 before shutdown, players have resorted to mass suicide.

Concord’s small player base has resorted to queue exclusively for the game’s Rivalry game mode. As soon as players load into the match, they instantly take their own lives, ending the match and quickly earning XP.

However, it seems that even virtual ritual suicide may not be enough for players to earn the Concord platinum trophy. With XP gain minimal at higher levels, it seems that players simply won’t be able to earn the game’s prestigious platinum before Sony turns the game off.

“I’ve been doing this sh*t for an hour and only went from Level 44 to 45,” Twitter user Radec said. “I am NOT getting this Platinum, bro.”

Double XP, please?

With Concord’s life ending in just a few days, with no sign of a revival anytime soon, players are hoping the game increases XP for its final hours. Otherwise, barely anyone will be able to get the game’s rarest trophies.

At the time of writing, just twelve people have earned the game’s platinum trophy. Via PSN Profiles, 0.91% of the game’s players have managed to grab the holy grail of trophies.

With just 25,000 units sold, with just 15,000 of those on PS5, Concord’s platinum trophy may become one of the rarest trophies in PlayStation history and another sign of PlayStation’s biggest failure.

Concord is available right now on PlayStation 5 and PC, but not for long.
