What are the new Balance Changes in Clash Royale?

Based on Supercell’s official blog post, the following cards are receiving buffs to make them more playable in the game: Minions, Minion Horde, and the Mighty Miner. Both Minions and Minion Horde have received a +15% Damage increase as an incentive for players to pick them more. A deploy radius increase has also been introduced to the Minion Horde which increases the space between each unit.

On the other hand, the Mighty Miner’s movement speed has been increased from Medium to Fast. The developer’s comments state that this change was made because it had seen a noticeable decline in use after its last nerf. This latest enhancement will now allow him to reach Crown Towers faster.

Conversely, the Phoenix had its Hitpoints reduced by -13% providing more counterplay potential and decreasing the overall strength of the card. Further, the Monk had its Elixir Cost increased from 4 to 5 making it more expensive and less desirable than other similar cards.

Last but not least, Reworks have also been made for the following units: Goblin Hut, Rage, and the Lumberjack. The Goblin Hut will be spawning three Spear Goblins per wave instead of one. However, the units that arrive will be less frequent. The Hut’s lifetime was decreased from 31 to 29 seconds while the Spawn Frequency was increased from 4 to 10 seconds.

The other rework for the Rage card will also be applied to the Lumberjack’s Rage spell. Though it hasn’t been integrated into the game yet, Rage will apparently be adding Spell Damage which scales with the card’s level. Unfortunately, the spell will have a smaller radius and will also have a fixed duration instead.
