The good news is that us Europeans can get the demo right now, the bad news is that our friends in the US and Canada can’t. This is because the demo has been released in all territories except for North America and Canada.

The demo is on the small side at only 554MB and gives you the chance to run around large environments in mechs, while shooting at other mechs. The game is scheduled for release in Europe on July 7, with the US release coming a few days later on July 11.

For those still smarting over the lack of demo in North America and Canada, check out this explanation from Major Nelson, which will hopefully make things a little clearer.

“If you’ve ever tried to take your lemonade stand worldwide you’d understand. What happens if a country has enacted a ban on lemon-derived products? Or what if my lemonade fails to pass a certification board? Or what if yellow-colored drinks are not allowed for public consumption? And do I need a license to use lemons from someone else’s orchard? Welcome to the real world where unfortunately/fortunately there are a host of conditions that influence and regulate what you can and can’t do.“
