PlayStation Network is now almost back to full functionality (we’re still waiting for the PS Store to return), but if you’re constantly worried about the status of Sony’s online service an iPhone app has you covered.
PSN Status is a free app that does exactly what it says on the tin. It tells you if PlayStation Network is online or offline. Let’s hope it won’t say Offline for any considerable length of time ever again.
PlayStation Network originally went down on April 20 after what Sony described as an “external intrusion” on the server. It wasn’t until April 26 that Sony admitted PSN account information was compromised.
