Both versions of the game are in development at Gusto Games, who also developed Championship Manager on the PSP. Championship Manager 2006 will be the only PS2 and Xbox management game to contain all the latest transfers from the recent January transfer window. The game will feature the series’ traditional open ended gameplay and an additional six challenge modes.
The control system features a tabs and drop down menus to deliver all the information you require, but not at the expense of clogging the screen with data or having to trawl through page after page. A revised match engine is also promised and is said to offer more intelligent team play, a wider range of instructions and set piece options, and quickly accessible dug-out tactics.
Championship Manager 2006 will be out in the spring on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, with the PC version scheduled for release on March 31.
