While Football Manager (which used to be Championship Manager) is the new king of football management games, Eidos and Beautiful Game Studios (BGS) will be back next year with Championship Manager 2006. Due in spring 2006, the game is set to be an improvement on this year’s version, and if the press release is to be believed, it’ll be the most realistic version to date.
New to the 2006 game is a Gameplan 3D match engine, improved manager to player interaction, and more in depth scouting. The Charlton Athletic first team coach has also provided fitness regimes to give the game added realism. As usual, you’ll be able to take your team from obscurity to world domination, assuming you cut it as a manager.
Expect more details on Championship Manager 2006 as the game’s spring 2006 release approaches.
