GAME and gamestation have announced a pre-order partnership with Rockstar Games for the launch of Max Payne 3, and is offering the Cemetery multiplayer map as an exclusive pre-order bonus.
The retailer says the map is already proving to be a hit, resulting in “strong” pre-order numbers.
“We are delighted to be Rockstar Games’ partner for the launch of Max Payne 3,” said GAME’s marketing director, Anna-Marie Mason. “They have been a true supporter of our business and as a result of our great relationship, we’re excited to be able to offer our customers another superb game from Rockstar with the added bonus of the pre-order exclusive and the excitement of midnight launches. We’re really enjoying working with them to make this the biggest launch of the year so far.”
A £5 deposit is required to secure the Cemetery multiplayer map, whilst stocks last. Game hasn’t offered further details on its midnight launch plans.
Max Payne 3 will release May 18 on Xbox 360 and PS3. The PC version will arrive a few weeks later.
As with previous Rockstar titles, this store specific DLC is likely to be made available to everyone at a later date at a small cost.
