Capcom has announced plans to become a "major player" in the downloadable game space, with the announcement of four new downloadable titles to appear on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

First up is Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the PS3 Store in the autumn. The game has new artwork, 1080p visuals and two-player support both online and offline.

The HD remixes continue with Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, which will be appearing in the autumn for Xbox Live Arcade, PS3 Store and the PC. Much like Super Street Fighter II, Puzzle Fighter II will feature 1080p visuals and new artwork, and is said to be much the same game as the upcoming PSP game Capcom Puzzle World.

Capcom's new titles won't all be HD remixes of classic titles though, with two all-new games also announced. First is Rocketmen: Axis of Evil, a two-stick shooter with HD visuals and support for up to four players. The game is due out in the autumn for Xbox Live Arcade and PS3.

Finally comes Talisman, a game based on the Games Workshop boardgame of the same name. We're told it will feature online and offline play for up to four players and is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PS3 and PC in Q4, 2007. Capcom also plans to release expansion packs with character and adventure card updates.
