Monster Hunter World has shipped over 14 million copies worldwide, as announced by Capcom on its official Japanese Twitter account (via Video Games Chronicle).
Launched for PC and consoles in 2018, Monster Hunter: World is officially Capcom's fastest-selling video game of all time, and is the publisher’s second most successful franchise after Resident Evil. In its first three days out in the wild, it sold five million copies in physical and digital sales across all platforms. Destined for greatness, the game has struck milestone after milestone, with reports placing it at 13 million units sold worldwide in June.

Of course, this has been surpassed and it is even before the game’s expansion — Monster Hunter World: Iceborne — has come to PC. The expansion released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in September and brings players to a new region of the game's world known as Hoarfrost Reach. It’s a chilly expedition, and the extreme conditions affect stamina and visibility. Velkhana, the Banbaro, the Beotodus and the Nargacuga all populate the region, and its ecosystem will begin to encroach on the base game’s world.
Monster Hunter World is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
