Featuring twenty classic games, wireless ad hoc multiplayer, and horizontal and vertical screen orientation, Capcom Classics Collection Remixed is sounding like the retro collection to buy in 2006. Some of the twenty games included in the collection are 1941, Avengers, Block Block, Captain Commando, Magic Sword, Quiz and Dragons, Street Fighter, Strider, Three Wonders, and Varth. Some of those titles aren’t exactly well known, but the inclusion of Strider is sure to excite many a gamer. This was one of the notable absences of the recent Capcom Classics Collection for PlayStation 2 and Xbox, so the inclusion of the game on PSP version is a real feather in its cap.

As well as easy to set up wireless multiplayer, the game will also feature downloadable music tracks and the ability to transfer high scores from other systems while taking part in multiplayer games. Not all games are designed to be played in the same way, so Capcom Classics Collection Remixed allows for the PSP’s controls to be reassigned to suit any gaming style. As well as customisable controls, the widescreen aspect ratio of the PSP’s screen is perfect for old skool vertical shooters and games will make full use of this with normal, stretch and vertical screen modes.

Capcom Classics Collection is scheduled for a March 2006 release in North America and we expect a European release to follow shortly after.
