Activision has detailed what fans can expect in Season Three of Call of Duty Vanguard & Warzone next week.

The Classified Arms season brings plenty of new content to all the various game modes. In Call of Duty Warzone, players will find a new Gulag and a brand new Dig Site point of interest to explore, with oversized fossils and remains. There’s also similar updates to Runway, Peak and Lagoon too, all to set up the upcoming Operation Monarch event.

That’s right, the rumours were true, as Godzilla and King Kong will be making their way to Caldera island on May 11. The Call of Duty blog doesn’t give specifics of the event yet, but teases a new Quad game mode “with a titan-sized twist” for the limited-time shenanigans. There’ll be more details on that mid-season.

Before then, both Vanguard and Warzone see the addition of four new Classified Arms and Two Weapons in the battle pass. First up is the M1916 Marksman Rifle, joined by the Nikita AVT: Assault Rifle. Mid-season, the Sledgehammer and H4 Blixen SMG joins the potential weapon pool. There’s also new Operators including Mateo Hernandez, Florence Carter and Kim Tae Young.

As for Vanguard exclusive content, expect a new Mayhem map at Launch based on a 1950s movie set. That’ll be followed by the addition of second new map Sphere, set beneath a coal mine. Players will also get to add the Trophy System to their loadout as a new piece of equipment. Finally, Call of Duty Vanguard Zombies will also get a new round based Zombie mode. Expect more on that from Treyarch in due course.

In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the Operation Monarch event below. That kicks off on May 11. Meanwhile Call of Duty Vanguard & Warzone Season Three starts up on April 27 and you can read further details here.
