The Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will run at a higher resolution than last year’s Call of Duty: Ghosts, Sledgehammer Games has confirmed.
The developer’s comments suggest the Xbox One version could run at 900p or even a full 1080p, although Sledgehammer has yet to clarify which resolution it’s targeting. It isn’t yet known whether the game will achieve parity with the PS4 version, either.
Last year’s Ghosts disappointed Xbox One fans with its underwhelming 720p native resolution. On PS4, the game ran at 1080p.
Ghosts wasn’t the only Xbox One game to perform worse than its PS4 counterpart, however. Other games such as Battlefield 4, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Watch Dogs and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes also ran at a lower resolution on Xbox One than PS4.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC on November 4. Pre-order and you’ll be able to grab it one day early on November 3.
