Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will not release on Wii U, Sledgehammer Games has confirmed.

A Wii U SKU had never officially been announced by Activision, but given the publisher’s history of announcing Wii U ports of Call of Duty later than other platforms, there was still a chance that it could appear on Nintendo’s system.

But that won’t happen, Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey suggests.

“No, no WiiU,” Condrey tweeted. “That was an Activision decision. We are focused on XboxOne, PS4, and PC.”

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Advanced Warfare are believed to be in development at Deadpool developer High Moon Studios.

The decision not to launch on Wii U will come as another blow to Nintendo, following shortly after comments from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot earlier this week who stated that Watch Dogs would be the publisher’s final Mature-rated title released for the system.
