Criterion has confirmed that the PSN version of Burnout Paradise will be available on the PlayStation Store this week, giving PS3 owners who have yet to buy the game a chance to play without needing a retail disc.

We’ve yet to receive word on the price in Europe (it’ll be $29.99 in the US), but the game will hit the PlayStation Store this Thursday. The download will be identical to the retail version, but starting the game for the first time will trigger downloads for all the updates Criterion has released to date – including the most recent Bike pack.

Criterion promises more updates in the future, including PS3 trophies and a new island location to race around.
