PS4 exclusive action game Bloodborne aims to run at only 30 frames per second because that is the sweet spot for action games, believes developer From Software.
Speaking to PlayStation Lifestyle at the GameStart convention last week, producer Masaaki Yamagiwa said that whilst they “haven’t made an official announcement yet … they will probably go for 30fps since that’s what they found to be the best fps to play action games.”
Yamagiwa added that from the start of development “they weren’t targeting 60fps because it’s not first-person shooting, it’s an action game”.
Bloodborne is scheduled for release February 6 only on PS4.
