Bloober Team, the development studio behind the highly anticipated Silent Hill 2 Remake, has now released a statement clearing up the misleading rumors surrounding their revamped horror entry. Based on the announcement, the recent talk surrounding their creation’s launch was “taken out of context due to inaccurate translations.”

For those unfamiliar, the rumors that had been circulating lately mostly had to do with how the game was almost ready for release. This prompted Bloober Team to step in and clarify that the Silent Hill 2 Remake is seemingly nowhere near ready yet as they are currently “focused on obtaining the highest quality for the finished product.”

Some players are predictably disappointed with the lack of details regarding the progression of the game. Most people had assumed that more specifics would be revealed in the new year after the modernized installment was announced towards the end of 2022. Fortunately, others are choosing to remain optimistic and are instead encouraging the developers to take their time with “what is widely considered the most beloved and greatest horror game ever made.”

Xbox players, on the other hand, couldn’t help but chime in as it’s become a well-known fact that the remake would be a 1-year timed exclusive for the PS5 and PC. Naturally, they’re hoping that this will change at some point, but it’s starting to look like Microsoft console players will just have to stand by until after the exclusivity deal runs out.

Sadly, this means that loyal fans waiting for more news on the widely praised horror remake will have to remain patient as Konami are yet to provide further information on the game itself. However, we will continue to provide updates regarding the game’s progression as soon as it’s been revealed by official sources.
