Bloober Team is fast becoming one of the most celebrated development teams on the planet. In 2025, it brought us the stellar Silent Hill 2 remake and the deliciously dark and difficult Cronos: The New Dawn, showing a clear flair for survival horror. But now, Bloober Team is teasing a new project, and tongues are wagging.
As originally reported by Gaming Bolt, the tease leads to a website made up of jumbled letters that reads: ‘https://www.google.com/search?q=remosedneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com’.
Upon clicking, the site shows a countdown to Valentine’s Day, 2026, and the text: ‘Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait.’ An audio track can also be heard of a man reciting William Blake’s The Sick Rose poem (an absolute cracker – ed.).
Experience over innocence

So what does it all mean? Several suggestions have been put forward, such as it could be a tease for Bloober’s upcoming Silent Hill 1 remake, a reboot of the GameCube horror classic Eternal Darkness, or a new IP known as Onyx: The Dark Grip. This was something Bloober trademarked a little while ago, but has since been silent about.
Others have speculated that this tease relates to something known as ‘Project C,’ a new survival horror title that’s rumored to be a Switch 2 game that could be shown off during a potential Nintendo Direct show in February.
However, the prevailing theory is that the tease relates to a potential remake of the controversial PS2 game Rule of Rose.
Rule of Rose was a survival horror game that was critically panned upon release in 2006, and it also caused a moral outcry due to some of its more sensitive subject matter.
However, this has not stopped the game from attracting a cult following over the years, with many survival horror enthusiasts praising the game for being ahead of its time, despite its controversial nature and obvious jank.
This is absolutely the sort of project that would tickle Bloober Team’s fancy, and there’s no reason why a Rule of Rose remake and the mysterious ‘Project C’ can’t be the same game. We’ll need to wait until Valentine’s Day, when the clock strikes midnight, to know more.
