Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII features innovative squadron-based combat, over 18 mission campaigns, 38 real WWII planes, and real world battle sites including England, Germany, France, Morocco, Pearl Harbor, Midway and Tokyo. Up to 16 players can take to the skies on Xbox Live in head-to-head dogfights or cooperative team-play between squadrons in 10 additional missions.

The Xbox 360 version will feature “significant visual and sound enhancements” taking advantage of the superior capabilities of the Xbox 360. Some of the visual improvements include enhanced 3D plane models with intensive use of environmental lighting; enlarged textures proving more detail for plains and terrain giving a more realistic atmosphere; battle damage will be more realistic, with damage being persistent on both terrain and buildings; and visual perception filtering will be enhanced, with features like extended burn effects, motion blur and shockwaves from explosions that fill the sky with debris.

The Xbox 360 version is scheduled for release at the same time as the Xbox version, at some point before March, 2006.
