Activision has confirmed the Black Ops 6 open beta release date, landing at the end of August. There were plenty of leaks and other information that guessed this date would be when the beta would be available. There will be two phases of the beta, one that will be early access for those who pre-ordered the game and a second open beta a week later for everyone. Explaining in a press release, Activision said the multiplayer beta will let us get a taste of the new movement system, and see new guns and maps.

If you have pre-ordered the game, you can take part in the early access phase of the beta, running from Friday, August 30 to Wednesday, September 4. Activision and Blizzard love to incentivise preorders, and this is exactly what you need to do if you want to get early access to the open beta. Even if you don’t pre-order the game, you can still take part in the open beta, but it runs for less time and you will have to wait longer.
