Although Black Myth Wukong has enjoyed a highly successful launch this past week, a large portion of the gaming community has unfortunately had to wait on the sidelines as the popular ARPG remains unavailable on Xbox platforms. Luckily, the reason for its absence on the ever-present Microsoft gaming console has now been revealed, thanks to a known Xbox insider.

According to leaker eXtas1s on X (formerly Twitter), “the game is reportedly suffering from a bug known as ‘memory leak,’ which can cause significant crashes that could compromise the performance of your Xbox console.” “Due to this issue, the game has not passed Xbox’s bug detection tests and has therefore been indefinitely delayed until they manage to optimize the game for Series X|S,’ their post continued.

Leaker eXtas1s later added, “The game has already failed the tests twice, hence the delay without an approximate date, since they have not yet managed to pass this certification, which [they were] told is very strict.” That said, the Xbox team is already working on resolving this major issue, so it should only be a matter of time until it gets resolved. Once it passes the previously mentioned bug detection tests, the studio will “set a release date for the game,” but you’ll have to remain patient until then.

As always, though, you should take these details with a grain of salt since this isn’t an official Xbox announcement.
