Bayonetta developer Platinum Games has been revealed as the developer of Metal Gear Rising. A new trailer for the game was shown at the VGAs early Sunday morning.
Other than revealing Platinum as the dev team, the game’s new subtitle was revealed – and its two sub-sub titles. Officially the game is called Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, but this is based on the slogans “Return of the Ripper” and “Revenge is Rising”.
Sadly there was no melon chopping in sight, but the gameplay on show certainly looked promising, with Raiden’s blade slicing through enemies. There are also giant robots, which automatically makes the game look amazing. In the absence of Bayonetta 2, this should go down very well with Platinum’s fans.
