DICE has super-glued a January 17 release date to the second chapter of Battlefield V's Tides of War offering.

We've known for a while that chapter two will be titled Lightning Strikes, although it's only now we know exactly when we'll be able to get stuck in. Vehicles will play a vital role in Lightning Strikes, which will also introduce multiplayer mode Rush, a special Grand Operations mission, and Squad Conquest.

That's not all, either. The latest Tides of War offering will see the release of Combined Arms, a new co-op mode that was sadly missing from Battlefield V at launch.

Lightning Strikes will be available until March, at which point the third chapter, Trial by Fire, will roll out.

Battlefield V was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in November, and despite lacking some notable features at launch (such as Firestorm, which isn't out until March), it was a pretty solid shooter.

DICE recently rolled back on a controversial TTK update for the World War II shooter, following a number of complaints from fans.
