The Battlefield 2042 Dark Protocol event will start on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. During this time, DICE will introduce a new mode called Killswitch, a 12v12 mode that you can play across four maps, including Redacted, Hourglass, Manifest, and Spearhead.
Battlefield 2042 Dark Protocol event end date
The Battlefield 2042 Dark Protocol event will end on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. This means you’ll have two full weeks to experience the new Killswitch mode until it eventually gets removed from the game. Unfortunately, it remains unclear whether the developers will reintroduce it at a later date, so we recommend enjoying it while it’s available.
What is Killswitch mode in Battlefield 2042?
Killswitch is a new mode that DICE is introducing as part of its Battlefield 2042 Season 6 Dark Protocol event. As mentioned before, this match type will pit 12 players against another team of 12 on a few different maps, including Hourglass, Spearhead, Redacted, and Manifest. To win a match, your team must capture objectives by printing Geists (AI-controlled synthetic soldiers) to use against the opposing squad. This gameplay loop continues until one team scores enough points to win.
