Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 are both examples of amazing games coming from AA developers. Larian Studios RPG and Sandfall’s RPG are brilliant games that have broken sales records in an industry where giants are increasing game prices and even shoving advertisements in multiplayer loadout screens.

As expected, there’s a tonne of crossover between the fanbases of BG3 and Expedition 33, and one fan of both games has decided to bring the two franchises together in one awesome mod.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Clair Obscur mod

Created by modder Aruless, the “Clair Obscur at Home” mod is a simple but awesome addon to Larian’s epic RPG that allows players to dress up as characters from Sandfall’s adventure.

The new mod adds a number of outfits from Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to the tutorial chest at the start of Baldur’s Gate 3 and the Druid Vendor in Act 1. By accessing these, you’ll be able to get access to clothes from the game as well as a spell that gives you the powers of Gustave.

The new mod gives you access to the following outfits: Gustave Suit, Maelle Expedition Uniform, Maelle Pure and Alicia clothes. Alongside the non-dyeable version of the outfits, the mod also adds a dyeable version that players can customise.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Expedition 33 mod

Thankfully, the new mod doesn’t require the use of the Baldur’s Gate 3 script extender to work. However, if you’re really into modding Larian’s RPG, you should probably have that installed anyway.

Larian Studios is currently working on two new games after leaving BG3 behind, although we won’t find out any information about the studio’s next title for a number of years. Additionally, Expedition 33’s developer Sandfall Interactive also has ideas in the bag for its next title, but that’s definitely also years away.

In a world where AAA publishers are hoping that GTA 6 will charge players $100 on launch, BG3 and Clair Obscur are both titles that respect players’ time. Honestly, we would love to see a true, official crossover between the two franchises, but this mod is good enough for now.
