Turtle Rock Studios and Warner Bros. Games have dated the first expansion for zombie shooter Back 4 Blood, entitled Tunnels of Terror.

The game’s first major DLC will arrive on April 12, and is included as part of the game’s Ultimate Edition and Deluxe Edition. It’ll also be available on its own or as part of the game’s Annual Pass. The main attraction is a brand new co-op PvE mode known as Ridden Hives.

In Ridden Hives, players will explore one of seven different dungeons, slaying hordes of Ridden along the way for unique loot and rewards. However, players will also have to contend with a number of new Ridden. These include the Warped Ridden who are comprised of Urchins, Shredders and Rippers. All three of these Warped Ridden will also be playable in the game’s PVP Swarm mode.

Elsewhere, the expansion also includes two new cleaners who’ll be added to the game. Sharice is an axe-wielding firefighter, and Heng is described as a “tough as nails, no-nonsense restaurateur”. The Tunnels of Terror will also feature 12 new weapon skins, seven new legendary weapons, new cards and more.

The DLC will also coincide with a release of a free update for all players. This will include a new super-hard difficulty mode known as No Hope, sure to provide an extra challenge to those who’ve mastered everything Back 4 Blood has to offer so far.  Both the update and the Back 4 Blood Tunnels of Terror DLC arrive on April 12.
