Upcoming co-op action RPG Babylon’s Fall looks locked on to its March release, as developer Platinum Games and Square Enix have announced the game has gone gold.

As spotted by Gematsu, the news was announced during the game’s first live stream. Earlier today, members of the development team showcased the game to fans in its native Japan. At the same time, the team also confirmed it’s now working on a day one patch, alongside regular updates the game will get following launch this March.

In case you need a quick refresher, here’s the blurb of the game’s story from Square Enix. “After the Babylonians perished, only their great tower ‘The Ziggurat’ remained. Now a new empire has come to pillage its ruins and uncover its fabled treasures. Join forces with other Sentinels, unwilling subjects forcibly implanted with Gideon Coffin, relics that grant the few survivors unrivalled powers.”

You’ll get to take on the Tower of Babel alone or with up to three other players. You’ll be able to pick your own playstyle by selecting from one of the game’s various weapon types. Each of these will have their own skills and abilities, and you’ll be able to customise your loadout to wield four of them at any time. In order to succeed, you’ll have to utilise your Gideon Coffin – a mysterious TARDIS-like backpack filled with tentacles.
