Announced earlier this week, Massive Entertainment is working on a new game based on James Cameron’s Avatar movie franchise. Massive has now confirmed that this new project will not affect support to The Division.
In a statement to Eurogamer, Massive said ‘Avatar is a new project with its own dedicated team and Massive is currently recruiting top talent to work on it. Avatar’s development has no impact on the team working on The Division or on our plans to continually support and update the game and brand for the long term.’
Massive added that they’re ‘looking forward to sharing more about what’s coming next for the game very soon,’ without mentioning any specifics about either DLC, or maybe even a sequel.
Regardless, it sounds like this new title involving Cameron’s blue folk won’t have any impact on the future of The Division.
