Ubisoft has confirmed in a new monthly update video that it will be bumping up Assassin's Creed Odyssey's level cap to make way for new content drops, which means there's more grinding in store for players.
According to live content director Bruno Guerin, Odyssey's cap will be increased by 20 levels, and for those who have already hit level 50 before the next update can expect to receive additional ability points.
'Later this month we will increase the level cap by no less than 20 levels,' said Ubisoft. 'This will be available for all players. For our players who have reached level 50, the XP earned before the level cap update will be rewarded with new ability points.'
To be fair, it's not too difficult to raise your level in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Aside from getting ample XP from completing main missions, you get XP for pretty much everything you do, such as discovering locations, finishing side quests, and killing enemies.
Elsewhere, Ubisoft confirmed that Steropes the Cyclops will be introduced on November 13, and players can also tuck into a new entry in the Lost Tales from Greece series as well as a new Epic Ship confrontation.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey was released on October 5 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One. I reviewed it for VideoGamer, and thought it was one of the best games in the series to date.
Ubisoft has run into a spot of bother with the game's Epic Mercenary Events as of late, and has put them on hold for the time being while it works out the kinks.
