Ubisoft is launching a Nintendo Switch version of Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, according to a listing on a Czech retailer (via Reddit).

Both games are supposedly being released for the Big N's hybrid console the Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation Collection, with a release date pegged for February 15. Ubisoft hasn't said anything about this yet, maybe don't break out the party hats just yet.

Having said that, a Switch version of Assassin's Creed 3 seems entirely plausible. The game was previously released on the Wii U, and we already know that a remastered version is coming out on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One as part of Assassin's Creed Odyssey's season pass.

Assassin's Creed 3 was released back in 2012, and was met with a polarizing reception. The game's lead, Connor, was criticised for being a bit of a dullard, although there was plenty of fun to be had in its naval sections and American Revolution backdrop.

Liberation on the other hand came out on PlayStation Vita that same year, and was later spruced up for a home console release in early 2014.

The remastered version of AC3 will be released in March on PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
