Bohemia Interactive has announced the summer 2012 release of Arma 3. The game follows the critically acclaimed Arma and Arma 2, and will launch exclusively on the PC.

Arma 3 is said to offer radical engine improvements and a sandbox-style military experience, with players having to survive the open-ended story-driven campaign. Throughout the course of the campaign you’ll evolve into a military commander and control multiple land, sea and air vehicles.

”We’re happy to bring the next generation of the Real Virtuality engine to life. The increased potential of the engine should allow Arma 3 to become our best-looking, most detailed and innovative military simulation game to date,” said Bohemia Interactive CEO, Marek Spanel.
