Apple has unveiled a brand new game subscription service known as Apple Arcade, which is due to launch this autumn with over 100 new and exclusive titles.

No pricing has been confirmed as of yet, but the service will allow users to experience an extensive lineup of titles across desktop, mobile, and the living room. Games will be compatible with Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and will be fully playable offline, too.

Speaking during a press conference overnight, Apple confirmed that the tech giant is also helping to develop the games that will feature as part of its Arcade lineup, rather than simply cherry-picking the best of the bunch.

‘Apple is not just handpicking the games in Apple Arcade, but also contributing to the development costs and working closely with creators to bring the games to life,’ said the company.

‘Made by some of the most critically acclaimed game developers in the world, Apple Arcade games will entertain customers with incredibly fun gameplay and immersive stories, while capturing imaginations with original art and music.’

In terms of developer support, Apple Arcade will feature the likes of Disney, Devolver, Konami, Gameloft, Sumo Digital, Sega, Skybound, WayForward, and many more on board.

Apple also confirmed a partial list of titles for Arcade, including Hot Lava, Where Cards Fall, The Pathless, Sonic Racing, Beyond a Steel Sky, Lego Brawls, Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm, Protection: First Light, and Enter the Construct.
